This little girl’s mom won a free session during my 12 Days of Christmas give-away. What a better way to take advantage of the prize than for a one year old cake smashing session. It was bright and fun. Loved the “A” that they brought and the homemade tutu! We did a few family pictures before we got messy with some cake.

I love this little guy! He has soooo much personality. Most of my one year old sessions include a cake smashing, but we just did a regular session with several outfit changes. Each outfit was a cute as the first one. This mom one very well dressed man. It was fun to commemorate his big milestone. He is so incredibly cute!
My niece just turned one year old! Look how adorable she is smashing her cake at her cake smashing session. I loved the outfit that my sister-in-law found for her on Etsy.com. I think the color combination was so sweet. Wouldn’t you agree!?

I find it hard to believe that this little girl is almost 1 year old. She was my first newborn in 2013, and she is one of my last sessions for 2013. She is having a pink and brown ladybug themed birthday celebration in a couple weeks. Her mom made some banners and her outfit. It was a fun session. She is one of the happiest babies, ever!
This little guy had a tough start when he first made his grand entrance in to the world, but you’d never know it. He is definitely strong and healthy, and so cute! I love the hungry caterpillar theme. The bright colors are just so happy!
This morning I had one adorable little girl visit me for her cake smashing. Her mom sent me a picture of her outfit, and I made the flower banner to coordinate with her outfit. I also felt like I won the lottery when I found the adorable green polka dot suitcases at Home Goods over the weekend. I love Home Goods! I think everything worked so well together. It was a fun session . . . but I think the balloons were her favorite part of her session.
I thoroughly enjoyed this cake smashing. I love when my clients give me a theme to work with for their cake smashing. The theme for this one was all-american baseball. The parents have their favorite teams which aren’t the same, so keeping it simple with just baseball was the way to go. The mom did an awesome job getting several options together for clothing, and this little guy was very cooperative with the several outfit changes. And, even though he was more interested in the baseballs than the cake, it was still a homerun (yep, I said it!)
These are the cake smashing pictures from a recent 2 part session for this little girl’s 1st birthday. The first part of the session was in a vintage dress with an antique high chair that the mom refinished. And, she made a matching banner and bloomers that you see in these pictures. She painted the frame to match her high chair. And, the cake . . . she made that for the session. She put a lot of time and effort into her little girl’s session . . . I think I helped bring her vision to life. I LOVED this session.
I love this little girl! I wish that I would’ve take video of this session because it only lasted a little bit. She was a pretty serious little girl, and she takes her cake very seriously.
I can’t believe that I have been photographing this little guy for almost a year. He was awesome for his newborn pictures (which the stuffed animals in these pictures were part of his newborn session.) He was awesome for his 6 month pictures. And, he was awesome for his cake smashing. We did quite a few pictures before his cake smashing which were a little more challenging because he is a busy little guy (once they start crawling and walking . . . watch out!) But when it came time to do the cake smashing, he was all business. I have thoroughly enjoyed photographing him. He is one of the happiest babies I have ever met and he is very photographic . . . and his parents are pretty awesome, too. I have enjoyed being part of their lives this past year (and I hope to keep photographing them in the years to come!)
