So excited to meet the newest addition to this family. He is going to love his big sister!
Normally, I edit my client’s galleries in order of their session. I had to make the exception on this one. We just did this session the other night. She said she would be okay if the weather didn’t cooperate and we had to do the pictures inside the studio, but we were able to get the session done in between storms and rain showers. Yay! Since it has a 4th of July theme, it only seems fitting to make sure she had some pictures to share on 4th of July. What a cute way to make a big announcement, congrats!

I love this family. I first photographed their family for their son’s newborn session, and I get to see them several times a year. When the mom told me she was pregnant again, I was so excited! We work really well together. She has lots of ideas, but she also gives me my artistic freedom. She also has realistic expectations. As much as she would like to have specific pictures, she knows that her toddler son may have a different idea and for the most part we have success. For this maternity session, she told me “I just want to remember this moment. I want to remember this feeling because this will probably be my last baby.” It is so true that a picture can freeze time and give you tangible memory that may otherwise be forgotten or fade over time or pushed back into the corners of our mind.
Spring Has Sprung Maternity Session | Southern York County Pennsylvania Newborn & Family Photographer
Such a sweet couple. It was a perfect evening to do a maternity session. A little cloudy but a little bit of evening sunshine, too! I love the white cotton dress with all the Spring greenery and little yellow flowers. The beautiful mama is expecting two little boys! I can’t wait to meet them!
It felt so good to be outside for this session. It is my first official outdoor session for 2014. The weather was perfect. The timing was perfect. Even though nothing is green yet, it was the perfect backdrop for the session. And, I love the color choices for them.
I am going to do two posts for this mama-t0-be because we had two sessions. We planned an outdoor session, but it rained. Since we had it on the calendar, we proceeded with the session. But we also rescheduled for a Tuesday evening at a local park, and I am so glad we did because that session was pretty amazing, too. These are just a few of my favorites from the studio session . . . there were so many to pick. I LOVE, LOVE the little black dress pictures. And, the mama brought the crown that will also be incorporated into the newborn session.
Little Black Dress Mini-Maternity Session | Southern York County Pennsylvania Newborn & Family Photographer
I loved this session. She is such a beautiful mother-to-be. I find that I can’t resist black and white photography for maternity sessions. Her gallery included the pictures in color, but I simply loved, loved her session in black and white. Looking forward to meeting her little one.
I realized the other day that I don’t have any maternity posts on my blog. Not sure why I don’t have any of them because I do them. Here are some pictures from my last session. It was a studio session. I do studio and I do on-location sessions. Most of maternity sessions are mini-maternity sessions. This was such an easy going family, and I can’t wait to meet their little girl in just a couple months!
