And, here are a few pictures from my niece’s sibling session. It was so nice to just focus on my niece for her own session, and then have a separate little session for this sisters especially since it was exhausting getting all three in a picture together! Of course, I had the perfect idea in my mind for the picture that I wanted to capture . . . let’s just say thank goodness for plan B (and plan C for that matter).
So, I just did a session for my niece who is 7 months old. I realized I never blogged her newborn session (of course, I put a ton of her pictures on my Facebook page). The pictures of her as a sunflower is my absolute favorite picture. I love it! Actually, there are a lot of sessions I did not blog late Summer into Fall because there was just so much going on. Well, no time like the present to catch up. I actually did a couple sessions for my niece. Here are a few from her first session . . .
I had the pleasure of photographing this little girl. Her mother made her the owl hat and the bunny outfit and the ballerina tutu and shoes. How incredibly cute?! She wasn’t necessarily feeling a newborn session, but even though I had planned to do some with her, she still had some adorable shots.
This was a fun family newborn session. It was one of the coldest days of the year, but it was warm and toasty in the studio. We took a lot of pictures, and it was hard to pick just a handful of pictures to share from their session because we got some family pictures, some individual pictures of big brother and baby, and a few of mom and dad, too.
A Dr. Seuss Inspired Newborn Session | Southern York County Pennsylvania Newborn & Family Photographer
I first met this couple when I did their maternity session in the middle of December. I love doing maternity sessions or in-person consultation prior to a newborn session because it gives me the chance to get to know the couple. So, a couple weeks after their session, I get an email to say their little girl was born early! She wasn’t due until February 14 (Valentine’s Day!) They had told me that they decorated the nursery in a Dr. Seuss theme, and they loved Dr. Seuss. So, that was my inspiration and they were on board with it. A turquoise and red color palette isn’t typical for a newborn baby girl, but I love it. And, even though she was 3 weeks old when she came to see me, she slept the entire time. I love it when it all comes together.
Simplicity in Black & White Newborn Session | Southern York County Pennsylvania Newborn & Family Photographer
I am a huge fan of black and white photography. I don’t often do black and white with my newborn girls, but there was something so soft and sweet and pretty with the black and white pictures in this session. So this time, I decided to show you my favorite black and white pictures that I love (well, there were more but these are a few). I love the sibling pictures in black and white. He was one proud big brother!
This was my first newborn for 2015! Isn’t he adorable? I feel so lucky to have had the honor to photograph four of his cousins as newborns, too. I am hoping that one day, I’ll have the chance to photograph all these cousins together! I hope everyone is having a great start to their new year!
You’ve heard me say it a million times, I am a work in progress. And, so is my business. I am thinking about offering Newborn Mini-Sessions to my services for next year, but I want to try them out. Would some people prefer a newborn mini-session? Will I enjoy doing newborn mini-sessions? Is it cost-effective? Do I understand the logistics? So, I figured I would try it out before I commit to it. If you know someone due in the month of October, and they might be interested in being a guinea pig, please share this information with them.
If they are interested, please have them email me at email@example.com, or call me at 717-814-9088.
I have only known this little girl for a little bit, but I think we are going to be the best of friends. First of all, I love her whole family! Second of all, she was an awesome little model. She had a very full gallery, but the sweet and simple ones are my favorites. I already order some canvases for the studio.
This little guy was one of my bigger babies weighing in at 9 pounds! He was so chunky-licious. Such an AWESOME family!
