Here are a few more pictures from the session of the twins from last week. They arrived a little early, and here they are at 16 days old. So sweet!
Welcome to Pictures by Whitney! My name is Whitney Marzullo. I am a custom newborn & family photographer based in Southern York County, Pennsylvania. I love everything photography, but my passions are newborns & families. I love photographing families & watching them grow. I believe that you don't need to have a special occasion to have a session, because every day is a good day to capture a smile!
These little girls are so beautiful! They are only 16 days old, and they already have tons of personality.
It was one hot day for mini-sessions! It’s a good thing that a mini-session doesn’t last too long. When I began as a photographer, I offered mini-sessions to help build my business, and I didn’t really love them the first couple of years. I found it difficult to enjoy the session because I didn’t have time to get to know my clients. That has all changed. This time around I only had two new families, and the one family I kind of, sort of knew them. It was nice to see the familiar faces for mini-sessions even if it was only for 15-20 minutes. Here are a couple pictures from a couple of the sessions. Doesn’t it make you want to schedule a mini-session?
What is a mini-session? Well, it is a session at a specific location, on a specific date. They are more affordable because I book several sessions on a give date with several time slots. Your session lasts 15-20 minutes and you only get 8-10 images. You also get an 8×10 from your session, so you have at least one professional print. A mini-session is $125 (or at least that is the new price effective June 1) and you’ll have the option to add on a print package. Want to get on the waiting list? Just send me an email firstname.lastname@example.org or message me on Facebook. Or, you can contact me from this post . . .
How lucky am I? I also got to photograph this handsome guy in his first communion attire.
I was so lucky to have the opportunity to photograph this beautiful girl in her first communion dress. Some sessions just beg me to edit them a little differently like this session. It’s a little vintage, or as one of my recent clients called it Instagramy (pretty sure that is a new word.) Isn’t she gorgeous . . . and not everyone can do wings, but this girl makes it work.
These are the cake smashing pictures from a recent 2 part session for this little girl’s 1st birthday. The first part of the session was in a vintage dress with an antique high chair that the mom refinished. And, she made a matching banner and bloomers that you see in these pictures. She painted the frame to match her high chair. And, the cake . . . she made that for the session. She put a lot of time and effort into her little girl’s session . . . I think I helped bring her vision to life. I LOVED this session.
I photographed a beautiful baby girl last week. She was a couple weeks early, and she was very alert. I think she is ready to take on the world. She was awesome. Even though she was very alert, eventually she fell asleep just long enough for us to get a few sleepy pictures and a couple of prop pictures, too. Most newborns look cross-eyed, but she was very focused. Enjoy!
I realized the other day that I don’t have any maternity posts on my blog. Not sure why I don’t have any of them because I do them. Here are some pictures from my last session. It was a studio session. I do studio and I do on-location sessions. Most of maternity sessions are mini-maternity sessions. This was such an easy going family, and I can’t wait to meet their little girl in just a couple months!
I had fun spending time with this young lady. It was a little windy and chilly, but she didn’t complain at all. Her mom basically let me do whatever I wanted to do from picking out the outfits and the locations. I did a little something different for this session when I edited them. Normally, I try to get the picture perfect in the camera and I spend just a little bit of time making little adjustments to make a good picture just a little bit better. This time, I spent a little more time editing the pictures to make them a little more shabby chic (or at least that’s what I am calling it.) As a business person, I know that you need to keep your product consistent . . . but as an artist, it is fun to do something a little different and a little creative every now and then.
This beautiful big girl is such a sweetheart. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing her over the last year and a half. Our first session was a family session, and I’ve done her pictures for her last two birthdays. The day of this session, we also did an extended family session (I didn’t get a release from the rest of the family so I can’t share their pictures right now.) We only did a handful of pictures, and I think they look great. Happy birthday!
